The SST V6 has been strategically designed to be lighter, more aerodynamic, and to improve wave-riding capabilities. This all-new version of the SST builds on the renowned history of wave-riding pioneer and industry icon, Ben Wilson, who set the design standards.

We have improved the SST, our storied kitesurfing model, to be more suitable than ever for any wave in the world for 2022. The all-new SST V6 builds on its reputation as one of the fastest and most responsive kites on the market with a newly modified wingtip shape and geometry. Together with our IRS bridle technology, the wingtip’s extra curve increases range and radically transforms the aircraft’s upwind performance and water relaunch. The SST V6’s incredibly light and thin micro-struts provide the kite a lot of overall structure while yet being lightweight, enabling next-level drift and reaction. We cut our canopy panels by more than 50% and introduced our new premium materials to further strategically reduce weight.

NEW REDESIGNED RESPONSIVE WINGTIP

When paired with our IRS bridle technology, the SST V6’s redesigned wingtip’s extra curve gives more speed, responsive handling, and totally transforms its upwind performance and water relaunch.

NEW MICRO STRUTS

Our lightest and thinnest struts ever are the SST V6. These struts with a smaller diameter provide the kite enough of overall structure while minimizing weight and drag to allow for next-level drift and reaction.

NEW CLEAN CANOPY

We lowered the number of canopy panels from 138 to 20. This drop gives the kite a more aerodynamic canopy profile while also lowering the overall weight of the kite.

NEW STREAMLINED IRS BRIDLE SYSTEM

By utilizing additional high-end materials, we expanded the IRS bridle’s capabilities. Riders will experience less air resistance as a result of the 25% reduction in bridle line thickness.

4X4 CANOPY TECH

Teijin 4×4 reinforced ripstop fabric is used in the construction of the SST V6. This is the market’s toughest, stiffest, and most resilient canopy material.

TESTED TOUGH

For the SST V6, we wanted to expand testing to include our consumers, who use our kites the most, in addition to our professional test team. Our customers tested the R100 (SST V6 prototype name) during a three-month study that we conducted, and their comments, information, and input proved vital in helping to validate a statistically significant improvement in performance from the previous SST model.
